Question 1

What exactly is RideForGood.eu and who is behind it?

Accepted Answer

Ride for Good is a private German charity motorcycle initiative founded by Uwe Steinbacher from Kelkheim (Taunus). The core principle connects authentic touring passion with social responsibility: for every tour kilometre ridden, Uwe donates €1 out of his personal funds to vetted charitable causes across Europe.

Question 2

How does the €1 per kilometre pledge work in practice?

Accepted Answer

On every tour across Germany and Europe, distance is logged via verifiable odometer readings and open ride reports. Every single kilometre is matched 1:1 with €1 from Uwe Steinbacher’s personal funds and transferred directly to the designated beneficiary organisations upon completion.

Question 3

Do I have to pay or donate anything as a website visitor?

Accepted Answer

No, absolutely not. Visitors to this website enter no financial or donation obligation whatsoever. The primary pledge is 100% funded out of pocket by Uwe Steinbacher. You are welcome to follow along freely. If you wish to support a project as well, you may request verified bank details to donate directly to the charities.

Question 4

Which charitable causes and projects are supported?

Accepted Answer

We focus on three verified causes: ambulatory children’s hospice and family bereavement support in the Rhine-Main region, direct disaster relief for households affected by severe floods and storms in Germany, and road safety clinics with certified protective gear for young beginner motorcyclists.

Question 5

How can I support and why is there no online payment gateway (Stripe/PayPal)?

Accepted Answer

We deliberately avoid third-party payment gateways to prevent percentage platform cuts and ensure maximum privacy. You can request verified bank transfer details (IBAN, BIC, reference code) through our secure request form, and complete the transfer safely directly through your own online banking.

Question 6

Can I receive an official tax-deductible donation receipt?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An official tax-deductible donation receipt can be issued for your contribution. Simply include your postal address in the request form so that the receipt can be properly prepared and sent.

Question 7

What legal and non-profit status does Ride for Good have?

Accepted Answer

Ride for Good is established as a recognized non-profit initiative. All activities are dedicated to transparent, tax-privileged charitable purposes and direct aid with zero commercial interest.

Question 8

Are there any platform fees or administrative overhead deductions?

Accepted Answer

No, 0%. 100% of all pledged funds flow directly and without deductions to the vetted charities. Uwe Steinbacher covers all travel, fuel, and tour expenses entirely out of his own pocket.
